Love and math

This summer, I have switched my math passion from work as the everyday ultimate tool for research, to leasure through this “powerful, passionate and inspiring” read into the heart of the hidden reality of maths, words from the New York Times book review. Indeed, the touching story of Edward Frenkel’s life in Russia to become a mathematician takes the reader deep to the beauty and elegance of what himself describes as the art of mathematics. With an extreme simplicity and always accompanied by the people who defined his academic journey until his professorship at University of California, Berkeley, Frenkel winds across mathematical symmetries and bariers in a lifetime. Highly recommended!
